Role Summary/Purpose

In this position, you will be reporting to FACTS P&C Engineering Manager and
indirectly to Project Managers. As a Protection Project Engineer you will be responsible for preparing protection system designs,
studies, specifications and configurations for FACTS products and solutions - SVC and STATCOM. Your tasks cover also
testing and commissioning of protection system and technical support during tendering phase.

Essential Responsibilities

•Produce and validate high quality study documents and specifications
•Plan, specify, organize and execute testing•Participate to technical negotiations with end customers and other stakeholders
•Support equipment sourcing (technical inputs, equipment evaluation)
•Support technical Tendering

Qualifications/Requirements

•BSc or MSc degree in Power System Engineering or Power Electronics or equivalent knowledge or experience
•Understanding of protection theory behind grid connected devices
•Specialized knowledge in electrical engineering; especially HV and MV, transmission/distribution systems, power engineering
•Knowledge in compensation systems, power electronics,HVDC
•Knowledge in electro-technical standards
•Knowledge and experience on protection relays and test equipment
•Knowledge and experience on simulation tools for electric systems (PSCAD, Simulink, RTDS, PSSE) is a benefit
•Fluent written and oral skills, both in English and Finnish
•Strong prioritizing and time management skills
•Ability and willingness to travel
•EU Work Permit
