Role Summary/Purpose
Vendor Programs Production / Logistics Supervision Manager will oversee the daily operations & assigned logistic operations for Vendor Programs & the shipping docks for ACSC Plant 1, 2 and 3 to ensure reliability & consistency on the production floor. Vendor Programs Production / Logistics Supervision Manager will provide instructions to external carriers, brokers, and interface with internal GE transportation, export control, and organizations to support shipping practices & optimize cost.
Essential Responsibilities
In addition, as the Vendor Programs Production / Logistics Supervision Manager, you will:
· Oversee and manage ~35-50 hourly front-line manufacturing employees
· Drive shop floor culture through safety, quality, delivery, and employee engagement
· Act as the first line of defense on all employee related matters such as training, time and attendance, discipline, and performance management
· Communicate production needs and work to remove any production/logistic barriers
· Work cross functionally to help solve quality and technical issues
· Responsible for oversight of Ryder truck schedule & support, carrier lanes, assisting brokers / GE Legal in release of packages
· Responsible to account for missing parts, investigate, locate, issue loss workflows
· Manage flow of boxes and crates needed for proper packing & handling of shipment, including coordination with 3rd party offsite warehouse
Qualifications/Requirements
· Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in Production Supervision or transportation logistics

· Demonstrated experience working in matrix organization with internal and external networks
· Demonstrated ability to influence others and train / lead small teams
