Role Summary/Purpose
Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and also within departments)
according to production schedules. Plan and schedule material/production needs. Lead the cell
production meetings and drive correct materials management processes.
Essential Responsibilities
•To support production by co-ordinating the release work orders, move orders and maintain
commitment dates
•Creating & maintaining detailed production plans for the test & assembly areas
•Reporting progress to the Master Scheduler, Plant management & the project execution teams
•Warehouse & staging coordination
•QC work order closure priority planning
•Liaising with Sourcing to secure delivery of shortages and minimising schedule delays
•Liaising with Manufacturing Engineers to ensure delivery of work packages in line with build
schedule
•Liaising with plant production controllers to ensure deliverables tie up
•Release Discrete Job to production
•Maintain Cyberplan commitment dates
•Create and Maintain Non-Standard Discrete Jobs
•Co-ordinate timely closure of discrete jobs with quality department
Qualifications/Requirements
•Experience in a planning/inventory role
•Six Sigma training is preferred
•Strategic view
•Presentation and communication skills
•Knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes
•Self starter
•Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge and
experience
•Significant experience in a manufacturing environment or a fast paced industrial planning or
production control role
•Proficient in software applications MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Oracle, Cyberplan, GE Gensuite
and Support Central
