4. Professional Practices and Policies: Guided by established standards and policies, the role requires operational judgment to maintain safety and quality while allowing for innovation and improvement.

5. Moderate Autonomy: While guided by professional standards, the role involves significant decision-making authority, requiring a balance between adherence to protocol and independent judgment.

Job Description

The Product Safety Engineer is responsible for evaluating design safety and ensuring potential personnel and environmental hazards are mitigated. This involvement is throughout the entire product life cycle, including conducting reviews as part of the design process and tracking resolution of field issues.

Essential Responsibilities

·  Facilitate and support product safety risk assessments for new and existing (installed base equipment) units.
·  Facilitate the Product Safety Process cross-functionally.
·  Drive resolution of safety critical items.
·  Quantify risk by performing quantitative risk modeling on complex systems to assess design safety risk

Required Qualifications

·  Bachelor’s of Engineering degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Environmental, or similar field from an accredited college or university 
·  Minimum of 3 years of experience in a design, systems, field operations, or product safety role.

·  Wind turbine design or operations experience 

The salary range for this position is $98,400 - $164,000 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation. This posting is expected to close on July 2nd or thereafter.

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
