Role Summary/Purpose
The primary responsibility of this role is to provide multi-functional leadership and strategic direction for Cell Analysis microscopy products.
Essential Responsibilities
· • The management of a designated Cell Analysis microscope product over its life cycle within the Cell Analysis product portfolio in a manner that maximizes the overall return/profit to the company, within the context of company, business area and marketing plans. Ensures compliance with quality systems, regulatory requirements, and commercial change process.
· • Lead the commercial input to the product development process. Identify target market(s) for Product Models & Offerings.
· • Manage all aspects of the product (s) life cycle starting with the detailed planning phase (in development) until the product is terminated. Define Product Models and Structures. Identify Offerings Items & Structures.
· • Work with Commercial team, Marketing, Applications, and Product Support teams to ensure achievmeent of sales targets for designated products.
· • Maximize company profit over the product (s) entire life cycle. Set product pricing.
· • Management of the cross-functional interface with Engineering, Service, Marketing, and Manufacturing.
· • Monitor market and competitor activity.
· • Develop and maintain relationships with key collaboration customers. Visit customers to obtain voice of customer feedback.
· • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.
· • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
· • Identify and report any and all customer quality or compliance concerns immediately to the Quality Organization.
· • Identify and report any personal quality or compliance concerns immediately to the Quality Organization.
· • Ensure timely dispatch closure. Ensure completion of all field modifications instructions (FMI’s) within prescribed time frame.
· • Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying and appropriately escalating process and product quality gaps, providing solutions when possible.
Qualifications/Requirements
· 1. Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Engineering, Science, Business Administration or related field
· 2. 3+ years experience in product marketing, product development, sales, or equivalent experience.
· 3. Excellent oral and written communications skills
· 4. Strong analytical and process skills
· 5. Strong project management skills
· 6. Ability to work effectively within a matrix environment
· 7. Up to 25% travel (including international)
Desired Characteristics
· 1. MSc or Master’s degree in Marketing, Engineering, Science, Business Administration or related field
· 2. 5+ years experience in product marketing, product development or related field
· 3. Product Management/Marketing expertise, including: market trends/analysis, NPI process, product roadmap development, product life-cycle management,
· 4. Strong knowledge of biological microscopy techniques, applications, markets, and competition.
· 5. Team oriented – ability to motivate and work well with diverse, cross-functional teams
· 6. Proven ability to work globally
