Role Summary/Purpose

As a Test Technician, you will be responsible for the fault-finding (to component level) of failed LRU’s, LLRU’s and PCB’s on production test and specifying the required repair to return the failed product to correct operation. This will involve the use of circuit diagrams TRD’s & assembly drawings, and may require you to seek guidance from the Cell Support and Engineering teams

Essential Responsibilities

Fault-finding of electronics modules and LRU's & LLRU’s to component level

  • Support for Test process, including Functional & ICT test for PCBs and ATP and ESS tests for LRUs

  • Accurate logging of failure data in FRACAS database

  • All aspects of setup of equipment to support test and fault-finding

  • Compliance with and adherence to relevant processes and procedures

Qualifications/Requirements

  • HNC Electronics Engineering, City & Guilds Electronics servicing or equivalent

  • Be able to fault-find using own initiative to component level

  • Must be PC literate

  • Flexible working and shift working is a feature of the role.

  • Understanding / knowledge and appreciation of high voltage.
    Desire to learn new skills and develop.

  • Excellent influencing and communications skills, both written and verbal.

  • Takes ownership and responsibility for completing tasks.

  •  Proactive self-starter with a can-do attitude.

Desired Characteristics

Worked on test / test equipment before.
 

Experience carrying out test procedures at Sub assembly / Unit level & PCB level.
Proficient in MS word / MS Excel software packages
Understanding of ESS at unit level, including vibration and thermal testing
