Job Description Summary
We are looking for an Operator to join our team in the hydropower station O&M, located in the Gilboa.
In this position, you will monitor and operate the Hydropower station equipment from the Central Control Room and from the field. Issue work requests whenever a deviation or malfunction is observed and need to be corrected.
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor and Interact closely with all Hydropower Station personal.
Job Description
General tasks and responsibilities:
· Conducting all business activities according to GE’s spirit & letter.
· Support the Shift Supervisor in monitoring and operating the Hydropower station in compliance with GE procedures as well as the contract scope.
· Support the Shift Supervisor in order to satisfy the daily production program provided by the grid.
· In the Central Control Room, receive instructions from the grid operator and adjust the units loads and/or voltage accordingly.
· Operate and monitor from the Hydropower station plant’s Central Control Room (CCR) equipment. Monitor process parameters in order to anticipate whenever possible any defect or operation deviation.
· Start and stop the Hydropower station equipment in coordination with the Shift Supervisor
· Regulate equipment operations and conditions, such as water levels, based on instrument data or from computers.
· When directed by the Shift Supervisor, operate in remote or locally the hydropower station equipment in order to ensure safe and reliable operation of the hydropower plant.
· Maintain the operating log with operating data as well as with major events occurring at the Hydropower Station
· In the field, perform on a regular basis operating round to visualize the Hydropower plant equipment and inform the maintenance staff whenever deemed necessary.
· Issue work request in the CMMS for any deviation or malfunction observed on the plant equipment.
· Participate in O&M experience exchange events.
· Prepare all work activities in accordance with GE EHS and safety government laws & procedures.
· Plan and prepare LOTO processes for the maintenance activities.
Requirements:
· Electrical and/or Mechanical diploma qualification or equivalent work experience.
· Substantial knowledge of practices, functions and processes involved in the operation and maintenance of a Hydro systems or Power Station.
· 1-2 years experiences with operation or maintenance of Power Stations or equivalent facilities.
· The ability to speak and communicate effectively in English and Hebrew.
· Good Interpersonal & organizational skill
