As Material Management Specialist for the Material Management team of GE Steam Power you'll manage the internal factories buying process for Steam Turbine and Generator flow parts

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

·  Place and follow-up on POs to Internal GE factories
·  Manage relationships with GE factories for PO execution
·  Manage problems and schedule changesPlace Purchase Requests for Inventory flow parts
·  Update ERP
·  Develop new solutions under guidance and / or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations
·  Balance both tactical execution with strategic initiatives necessary to drive cost reduction projects
·  Collaborate with SPB level stakeholders
·  Specifies needs, communicates about project approach and presents outcomes of research done
·  Provide technical / commercial assistance to Material Management and S&OP teams to develop awareness of manufacturing processes and improve product knowledge
·  Actively participate in GE factory performance reviews
·  Advises Functional managers regarding projects, processes and procedures within own field
·  Contributes to project as a team member or leads small projects

Required Qualifications

·  Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college OR a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Procurement/ Supply chain planning)
·  An additional minimum of 2 years of experience in Procurement/ Supply chain planning
·  SAP knowledge in procurement environment
