Role Summary/Purpose

Work in Materials Laboratory for characterization and metallurgical analyses of different samples and parts from Aviation, Marine and Industrial engines. Support on the development of procedures for lab equipment usage and testing.
Essential Responsibilities

1.- With guidance, support the metallurgical preparation and analysis of samples/hardware by using different lab equipment.
2.- With guidance, perform detailed visual and optical microscopy evaluation of characteristics from diverse samples/hardware.
3.- Develop draft reports for outcome of metallurgical analyses ensuring schedule requirements are met.
4.- Support Material's Lab logistics, helping on the development of operation, safety and quality procedures
Qualifications/Requirements

Student in last semesters of Materials, Metallurgical Engineering or Materials science related field, either bachelor or Masters.
Full comprehension of English written texts and good oral abilities, shall be able to maintain a fluid technical conversation in English and Spanish.
Sound understanding of engineering principles relevant to position.
Presentation skills: ability to present the results of his/her work.
ONLY PEOPLE WITH A LEGAL WORK PERMIT FOR MEXICO WILL BE CONSIDERED

Knowledge of aerospace alloys systems and their metallurgy.
Failure analysis basic principles
Materials Lab equipment operation basic knowledge (Microscopes, metallography sample preparation equipment)
