Role Summary/Purpose
The Marketing Data Analyst will report to the CS & PS Marketing Leader and work with marketing, product management and sales teams helping solve analytically complex problems in the marketing domain. Int his role you will require the ability to apply and administrate analytical / modeling tools and techniques and drawing managerial insights through statistical techniques and predictive modeling.
Essential Responsibilities
As the Marketing Data Analyst, you will:
· Have a thorough understanding and application of approaches, theories, methodologies and application in a concrete organizational context
· Leverage marketing and sales data to help understand customer, market and product information to improve promotion, targeting, and customer relationship management
· Collate data and create models to support decisions based on advanced analytics
· Drive findings by applying analytics, design thinking, mobile, social and other technologies and integrating them into work
· Perform statistical analysis and modeling for marketing efforts such as customer segmentation, branding, customer acquisition and retention, and cross-sell / up-sell techniques
· Develop statistical models to measure and optimize pricing and marketing campaigns
Qualifications/Requirements
· Bachelors Degree in Statistics / Economics / Econometrics / Engineering / Mathematics
· Minimum of 2 years of marketing experience
Desired Characteristics
· Ability to handle data in large volumes (data manipulation, data cleansing and matching) through tools like SAS, SQL, SPSS, R, Excel VBA
· Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to disaggregate issues, identify root causes and recommend solutions
· Modeling techniques and specifically logistic Regression, linear regression, cluster analysis, CHAID, market basket analysis, etc.
· Statistical programming software experience in SPSS, SAS or equivalent, and comfortable working with large data sets; and SQL
· Ability to work under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines
· Good written and verbal communication skills
