Manufacturing Training Coordinator

Working at our Beavercreek Site :

GE Aerospace operations have been part of the Beavercreek community for over 70 years! Our Beavercreek facility manufactures gas turbine tubes, ducts, and manifolds, and also has complex machining, fabrication and investment casting capabilities. Product engineering, new product development and testing is performed on site. This facility also does repair and overhaul of tubes, ducts, and manifolds. We have been awarded OSHAS’s highest safety rating. 

Role Overview:

·  Track and maintain the preboarding workflow to ensure a smooth and timely onboarding experience for new hires.
·  Deliver technical content and facilitate interactive lessons at bi-monthly new hire orientations and support Manufacturing Training Specialist with train the trainer events.
·  Audit training materials and records for accuracy and relevance to the role.
·  Monitor and update data within online training tracking systems. (What kind of technical skills)
·  Support back-end administration and architecture of existing systems (e.g., Covalent) and helping to identify and build out new software (e.g., Learning Management Systems or “LMS”)
·  Maintain all training records in accordance with site Quality Management System.
·  Partner with subject matter experts to determine training requirements.
·  Coach existing trainers on best practices and plant training procedures.
·  Conduct knowledge and skill audits during certification of new hires.
·  Track assessment completion and work with trainers and assessors to manage scheduling.
·  Work with a diverse population base and listen to the needs of different segments of the workforce.

Required Qualifications:

·  High school diploma / GED with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Manufacturing)
·  Ability to adjust schedules to split shifts, as needed, to ensure support of all shifts
·  This role may encounter high risk or hazardous operations and/or include working shifts beyond a standard workweek. As such, a requirement of the role is to be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining.

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Experience as a shopfloor trainer and/or background in Training Design and Delivery.
·  Strong relationship building and active listening skills.
·  Strong interpersonal skills and coaching/growth mindset.
·  Strong computer skills including word processing (Word), developing slide decks (PPT), working with spreadsheets to track data and automate tasks.
·  Experience with video development and video editing (especially Camtasia).
·  Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
