Role Summary/Purpose
Ensure an uninterrupted supply of materials to support production, sales and engineering. Work to resolve Materials issues while achieving and maintaining business metrics.
Essential Responsibilities
• Overall ownership of material ordering, availability, and scheduling target inventory levels for direct & indirect material.
• Oracle systems transaction expert.
• Ensure systemic accuracy of inventory.
• Root cause & resolve all billing related issues.
• Rescheduling materials for pull ins (expedites) and push outs (for inventory control)
• Conduct daily walks on the floor to identify, investigate and resolve material issues, with root cause investigation and sustained resolution
• Manage Phase In / Phase Out (NPI) to minimize obsolete material
• Partner closely with suppliers focusing on: min/max planning, materials replenishment planning, root-cause problem solving.
• Supplier visits, as needed - internal and external
• Provide supply analysis data and recommendations as necessary
• Assist in cycle count efforts as determined
• Support tool development for prediction of material issues
• Support all lean activities, initiatives, and action workouts
• Support shipping & receiving activities, including invoicing & remittance.
• Perform incoming acceptance activities and tooling verification.
Qualifications/Requirements
Quality Specific Goals:
1. Aware of, and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
4. Knowledge & understanding of production process work instructions & operates within them
5. Ensures the creation of accurate, complete and timely records and DHRs
1. High school Diploma/ or local equivalent with at least 2 years experience in Materials Replenishment Planning (MRP) or Associates degree (or local equivalent) in a business-related discipline
2. Demonstrate ability to read, write and speak in local language
3. Ability to communicate well and work with others
4. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple work tasks
5. Proficient in basic mathematics
6. Proficient in Word, Excel, Access, Outlook
Desired Characteristics
1. Bachelor’s degree or HS diploma & 5 yrs material experience or production scheduling
2. Self-Starter with experience in a fast-paced environment
3. Excellent interpersonal skills
4. Strong analytical skills (Experience with Financial Accounting)
5. Strong computer proficiency (Excel & Access knowledge and experience)
6. Machine Tooling background/experience
7. Oracle knowledge/experience
8. Lean Manufacturing background/experience
9. Six Sigma Green Belt
