Essential Responsibilities
Will perform fluorescent penetrant inspection to written plans on a variety of materials, parts,
equipment and finished products. Utilize the computer to accept parts. Use simple inspection
gauges and test equipment. Inspect for adherence to technical orders, specification, checklists,
processing methods, and accompanying paperwork. Verify conditions, quantity, and identity of
parts before releasing from area. Must certify in fluorescent penetrant equipment and visual
inspection of fluorescent penetrant parts. Utilize eddy current inspection techniques. Compare
test results to ACCEPT/REJECT STANDARDS. Report any non-conformance to supervisor prior
to accepting or rejecting the component. Document all test results. Perform all the System
Efficiency Tests to validate equipment per procedure, before utilizing the unit. Inform the
Supervisor if any maintenance is needed. Check to ensure that gauges are sent for calibration.
Report and collect rejected components for disposition to QC. Instruct others and perform
other related duties as required
Qualifications/Requirements
•High School Diploma/GED
•Experience using basic measuring instruments
•Experience using shop math, including fractions and decimals
•Experience with computers, applications, and keyboarding
•Experience in performing dimensional or visual inspection
•Possess analytical aptitude with methodical attention to detail
Near Vision 20/25 (US) using corrected or uncorrected vision in each eye
Eligibility Requirements:
· This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment

•Experience performing visual and mechanical inspection
•Certified in in level II NDT (penetrant)
•Some working knowledge of machine shop blueprints, engineering sketches and specifications
•Ability to learn and operate material handling and lifting devices
