Role Summary/Purpose

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for executing on shipments, reporting transportation metrics, identifying trends across global transportation methods and practices, managing data, ensuring that internal customers’ needs are met and that company policy and international trade compliance regulations are adhered to.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Schedules, Coordinates and Tracks both Domestic and International shipments

·  Ensures airlines and carriers are selected based on company objectives for cost and delivery

·  Maintains Shipping records, including providing tracking or shipping history information to customers on request

·  Prepares Shipping paperwork as well as completes shipping transaction in appropriate systems

·  Overcome road blocks to ensure delivery is made in line with internal and external customers’ requirements

·  Supporting Variable Cost Productivity initiatives

·  Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

·  Working cross-functionally with Manufacturing and Quality to identify improvement opportunities and implement successful changes
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position

·  Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines

·  Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required

Additional Quality Specific Goals:

·  Proficient knowledge, understanding and leadership for International Trade Compliance, identify report and resolve any trade compliance issues

·  Working knowledge of IATA and DOT regulations as it pertains to the transportation of radioactive materials

·  Knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain/Purchasing process procedures and work instructions and operates within them to ensure compliance to quality system

·  Ensures the creation of accurate, complete and timely records tied to product
