Role Summary/Purpose
The legal intern, reporting to Senior Counsel, will support the commercial legal team in our Life Sciences business in EMEA (Europe Middle East and Africa). The role is based in our Amersham Place office, Little Chalfont, Buckinghamshire.
Essential Responsibilities
• Reviewing and amending commercial contracts including confidential disclosure agreements, supply agreements and quality agreements among others
• Reviewing and analyzing contractual terms
• Advising the business on the compliance of marketing materials against internal policies
• Researching specific points of law
• Assisting with document review
• Creating and updating contract templates including terms & conditions of sale
• Monitoring and advising on changes in commercial law and regulations
• Working on on-going projects which require legal input
• Preparing presentations and training on legal and compliance issues for review and delivery by legal team
• Collecting, collating and summarizing/updating company information (including officer details and minute books), in particular compiling all key information from and for the corporate books of GEHC Life Science's European registered companies
• Administration, as required
• Working with the business, other support functions and central GE functions, as required
• All intern activities will be supervised by a suitably qualified member of the legal team.

2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required

Qualifications/Requirements
Required Qualifications:
1. Have/is in the process of acquiring a Bachelor of Laws degree or Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL)
2. Enthusiastic approach to applying legal experience to the business environment
3. Eager to learn and experience new challenges
4. Ability to adapt to new demands and experiences
5. Ability to work in a dynamic, changing environment
6. Accuracy and detailed-oriented
7. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
8. Effective time management and organizational skills; able to balance multiple priorities
9. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills
