Role Summary/Purpose
The Lean Training & Development Leader leads and develops comprehensive hands on lean training activities across GE Power globally. This role works closely with the Global Lean Operations Leader and contributes to the overall strategy to reduce inventory and lead times at our factories and suppliers.
Essential Responsibilities
As the Lean Training & Development Leader, you will:
· Develop and deliver an effective global lean training program (classroom and virtual programs) at different levels of skills focused on transformational / hands on shop floor and functional groups impact
· Support consistent application of Lean tools and principles to help teams drive continuous improvements
· Work with lean operations leaders to develop strategic deployment planning, establish transformational vision, deploy and improve current lean depository training, and develop curriculum to spread lean principles and concepts across the business
· Partner with sourcing and materials on developing supplier Lean skills
· Serve as a change agent by influencing, communicating and institutionalizing a culture of simplification and standardization
· Coach / train plants and other central functions (i.e., sourcing, materials, engineering) in the use of Lean tools and the simplification methodology to drive significant business impact
· Establish appropriate operating rhythms with key stake holders to provide regular training, coaching and plan training action workouts
· Seek, share and institutionalize best practices
· Develop the Lean Academy in Power
Qualifications/Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in development / implementation of learning programs, including needs assessment, instructional design, content development and program
· Minimum of 3 years of Lean experience ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
· Ability and willingness to travel extensively to international sites
