Role Summary/Purpose
The Lean Manufacturing Engineer demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and strategic process driver for an area or business segment.
In this role you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
Essential Responsibilities
• Establish and implement team strategies, programs, and practices to achieve world class manufacturing inventory turns and process flow
• Lead multiple functional teams and drive best practices in process design and implementation
• Act as a change agent in the implementation of demand technology utilizing state of the art tools and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies
• Establish visual management tools and methods to pull product through the work cells and flow line processes
• Facilitate, train, and coach team members in the use of Lean Six Sigma tools
• Implement continuous improvement across business Fulfilment 5, EHS, Quality, Delivery, Cost & Productivity using Lean and Six Sigma principles to decrease customer perceived lead-times and product costs
• Map, document and optimize value streams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Create and improve manufacturing and quality process documentation to ensure controllable and repeatable production outcome
• Work through Action WorkOuts workshops and other KAIZEN tools with employees of all levels of the hierarchy
• Key strategic thinker for the plant when driving project deck
Desired profile
Qualifications/Requirements
• Strong organization and analytical skills, strong ability to work well with others in a team
• Several years of relevant work experience in mechanical / electrical / technical background in a manufacturing / quality / engineering
• Degree in Engineering/Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical etc.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and documentation.
• Proficiency in PC applications
• Working level English and German language skills
• LSS GB Certified or Understanding to Lean
