As Lead Verification & Validation Engineer, you will be responsible for the delivery of the of HVDC Controls & Protection Verification and Validation team’s activities on time / as per Project Scheduled through proper coordination between Project and department.

Essential Responsibility:

  • Prepare and maintain the Validation & Verification team’s activity plans as per the Project schedule, including creation of Factory Acceptance Test cases which are aligned to the design requirements.

  • Develop models and perform studies on the control system using tools such as MATLAB, PSCAD, RSCAD to verify system performance.

  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) in the development and verification of new products.

  • Drive continuous improvement to improve efficiency and delivery of new projects

  • Support a standard product methodology mindset, seeking opportunities to re-use solutions, improve quality and reliability.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent including power systems and power electronics subjects or proven equivalent knowledge and experience in HVDC business.

  • Proven experience in the position of Verification Engineer in the electrical field, preferably experience as a Control & Protection design Engineer for high voltage applications.

  • Good knowledge of overall high voltage substation and HVDC system design (LCC/VSC/SVC) including control and protection system is essential.

  • Knowledge of overall HVDC System operational behavior.

  • Strong communication skills with a fluency in English language.

Desired Characteristic:

  • Experience on MATCAD, PSS/E, EMTP-RV, Digsilent etc will be an advantage.

  • Knowledge of applicable electrical standards such as IEC 61850, IEC 62351, IEC 12207, IEEE 15288, IEC 25010, IEC 27032, NERC/CIP will be an added advantage.
