Role Summary/Purpose

As the Lead Proposals Specialist, you will be responsible for the preparation of service overhaul and repair proposals/bids for subsea drilling equipment, contract negotiations, compliance with contract commitments, and conducting commercial risk assessments.
Essential Responsibilities

In the role of Lead Proposals Specialist, you will:

·  Review equipment repair dispositions and develop repair work scopes and procedures for repair & overhaul projects, ensure compliance to quality and engineering requirements

·  Support the Sales Force in opportunity development / assessment with Customers

·  Prepare commercial proposals, guarantee Quality completeness and Time responsiveness

·  Support Terms and Conditions reviews and negotiations with commercial and legal knowledge. Ensure the achievement of sales and margin growth in Drilling systems; BOP and Riser product lines, Field Service and general Upgrades along with Overhaul & Repair

·  Define strategy on Price and Margin leveraging prior proposals and information on market conditions

·  Identify with Application Engineering Team and all the involved Functions the best solutions to meet Customers' "Critical to Quality" (CTQs)

·  Provide technical support for sales team, by analyzing the better product to fit customer requirements, build configuration & proposal (including sales bid)

·  Provide technical support for customers (end user and drilling contractors); occasionally visiting customers with local sales team

·  Lead Risk Assessment processes coordinating Bid Teams / Functions (Legal, Finance, Manufacturing, Technical Assistance, Sales Force, Sourcing) during proposal preparation and follow-up

·  Assist Hand-Off for project/order execution phase (OTR) (supported by the team)

·  Monitor, update and report the assigned project(s)

·  Collect historical data on quotations and proposal flow and using statistical tools, develop and maintain metric highlights to keep the business informed of activities and be able to analyze information to find ways to improve processes in the ITO (Inquiry To Order) department
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (OR High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution with a minimum 7 years of experience in a technical, commercial operations, and/or supply chain operations position)

·  Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical, commercial operations, and/or supply chain operations role
