Role Purpose:
Key Project Management role for Marine business unit within GE Power Conversion UK Ltd, specifically within the Rotating Machines (Rugby) - RMR facility (Manufacturing)
Taking full responsibility for effective delivery & commercial control of assigned project(s) and be the key principle contact for RMR. The successful candidate will co-ordinate the activities of all team members, including all functions; planning, engineering supply chain manufacturing & quality & drive SQDC. You will ensure that all requirements are fully understood and translated into clear, traceable action plan & manage the implementation.
Essential Responsibilities:
The Project Manager will perform the following duties:
- Primary focus for the role is to manage a key critical project for the RMR business unit, to ensure that contractual obligations are met on time and to budget. This project is a critical project for the Marine business with GE Power Conversion UK and is related to the design and build of a rotating machine for a key naval application.
- Be the primary point of contact for the internal Customers, building a strong and effective stakeholder relationship achieving a high level of customer satisfaction and serving as a basis for repeat business.
- Lead and co-ordinate a multi-disciplinary project team to deliver the project objectives in a structured and efficient manner.
- Interface with GE participating units and external suppliers as needed.
- Managing the commercial, technical, and quality issues on the project.
- Creating, maintaining, and driving progress against a project plan
- Ensure project commercial obligation are undertaken on time including registering, compiling, submitting, and negotiating extensions of time, extras to contract and other claims as appropriate.
- Always ensuring compliance with GE Vernova processes and procedures. Strictly adhere to all security guidelines mandated for this role.
- Carrying out project reviews to control projects, check progress, manage cost, identify deviations from plan, detect risk and forecast future performance. One of the key requirements of this role is to manage change evolution.
- In this role you will report project management leader of the business.

Experience And Qualifications
- British citizenship, with a valid British Passport and no dual-citizenship.
- Degree or equivalent experience in any related Engineering & Project Management qualification
- Ability to manage and control projects in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in managing design evolution and change with capacity to report with clarity and confidence.
- Basic knowledge of electrical motors and generators would be desirable.
- Excellent communication skills are required to liaise at all levels, both within the organization and external stake holders.
- Competence in the use of SAP, MS Office and Project Management Tool skills is advantageous.
- Good understanding of applied Contract Laws.
- Flexibility to travel to any customer or supplier site when required to fulfil the requirements of the position. Full UK driving license.
- Knowledge of Marine / Naval market would be desirable.
