Role Summary/Purpose
The Production Leader will demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In the role of Production Leader, you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and effect short-term and some long-term business goals. You will supervise a population of non-exempt technicians. This role reports directly in to the On Wing Support Cincinnati site leader.
Essential Responsibilities
In addition, as the Production Leader, you will :
· Responsible for developing and executing a business plan that provides delivery of goals and metrics for a given Product / Assembly including:
· Safety
· Quality
· Productivity
· Output
· Cycle Reduction / Inventory Reduction
· and Continuous Improvement / Lean Implementation Strategy
· Promote customer satisfaction, develop positive customer relationships, and focus on Team Development
· Create and Drive Lean Vision via leading and participating in Action Workouts (AWO / kaizen) and utilizing Lean Six Sigma tools to improve processes
Qualifications/Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university of college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in an operations or management position)
· A minimum of 3 years of Lean manufacturing, assembly, machining or fabrication work experience
· A minimum of 1 year of leadership experience
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT(S):
· Please Note : Work location is Hebron, KY. Site is approximately ~15 minutes from downtown Cincinnati, OH
Desired Characteristics
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Engineering or Operations from an accredited university or college is preferred
· Prior application of Lean methodology and Lean deployment experience is preferred
· Six Sigma training is preferred (GE employees only)
· Strong PC, Microsoft access, Data warehouse and production planning experience
· Ability to work in a fast pace, high intensity environment while spending majority of time on shop floor
· Strong coaching, facilitation and team building skills
· Change Agent with a demonstrated commitment for process improvement via lean problem-solving tools
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
· Knowledge of engineering drawings / specifications and manufacturing processes
· Knowledge of safety agency regulations
