Job Description Summary

Support the manufacturing product line area as the Quality Process Engineer on a daily basis. Lead, support and supervise hourly quality team (16 people).

Job Description

What you will do:

  • Develop and improve quality plans to assure harmonized requirements of manufacturing process, customers and engineering.
  • Based on drawings and specification determine key product characteristics required to measure and record in the quality plans. Work out new drawing datum, dimension, and tolerances for in process quality control (working together with manufacturing engineer)
  • Disposition non-conformities through design engineering or based on precedents.
  • Assure technical regulation and standards’ requirements defined by engineering technical specification / drawings.
  • Manage scrapping processes in Oracle ERP system.
  • Manage daily activities of the quality inspectors and coordinate and improve quality control processes with responsibility for high level product quality.
  • Develop individualized training program for quality inspectors (with peer QPE`s) to bring the individuals “up to speed” with continued training as needed.
  • Analyze customer complaints and professionally support customer communication. Initiate and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
  • Improve quality processes focusing on customer satisfaction and competitiveness through six sigma and lean tools.
  • Monitor, analyze and improve main quality indexes: cost, defect rate, non-conformity record (NCR) – cycles. Initiate improvement action for relevant parties like quality and manufacturing engineers, Supplier Quality Engineers, requisition engineers, suppliers.
  • Lead quality meetings in order to analyze and solve quality issues.
  • Trains quality and manufacturing teams for problem solving methodology, leads problem solving.
  • Develop process auditing routines to assure compliance to established procedures, maintain area in a condition that support ISO compliance.
  • Lead technical regulation and standard product and process audits, address non-conformities.
  • Represent production area on internal and external audits.
  • Frequently evaluate quality inspector performance and assure compliance to HR regulations,
  • Active participation on mandatory EHS trainings and events

  • Education: Technical University/College
  • Experience: Proven experience in Manufacturing area/Quality management and as a people leader
  • Competencies: Logical thinking, precise, good communication and team facilitation, English and Hungarian language knowledge
  • Skills: Good problem solving and process improvement skills, team spirit behavior, MS Office Applications knowledge, high level of technical drawing interpretation skills, organization skills, openness to new challenges, leadership
