Role Summary/Purpose

The Aviation Powerplant Engineer demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role you will utilize your Process Engineering experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
Essential Responsibilities

· Prepare/issue proposal workscope to customer for CFM/LEAP engines.
· Lead engine investigation & actively advocate and apply process improvement / Lean initiatives
· Act as expert on specific tasks that require a broad experience & SAP knowledge base
· Identify plans to ensure technical requirements, costs, and schedules are met
· Interface with external organizations and supporting functions, and directs / coordinates the efforts of project team members in order to accomplish overall goals
· Facilitate interaction of internal staff members with each other and external organizations
· Periodically prepare and implement supporting work plans which are considered a supplement to this guide
· Assist the staff contributor or manager in planning workscope activity for the organization
· Provide input on team performance, training, and development needs
Qualifications/Requirements

· Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 3 years of manufacturing or shop experience)
· At least 3 additional years of direct manufacturing, assembly, or test experience
· Expertise in OASIS SAP for overhaul business.
