Job Description Summary

The Lead Operational Controllership Analyst will be part of the Hydro Power HQ Controllership team, responsible at a Global and EMEA regional level to lead certain initiatives in the monthly and quarterly accounting and closing cycle, exposed to Hydro Power and GE Vernova Executive leadership during our reporting rhythm.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Monitoring, accounting, and reporting process of the various reserves (Credit loss, AR reserve, Inventory), supporting AR and cash application process.

  • Support balance sheet deep dive and financial closing package “FRP” in non-project related areas like cash, account receivable, Lease, supplier related balances.

  • Key point of contact for ongoing transition of accounting team for Total Hydro.

  • Coordinate, review and support day-to-day USGAAP accounting and close activities performed by outsourced teams.

  • Lead ops controllership dashboard for Hydro Power Global, run monthly rhythm with outsourced accounting team, Hydro Power CFO and Hydro Power Global Controller

  • Supply chain controllership with Supply Chain Finance and Buy to Pay Teams in areas as free stock obsolescence, physical inventory, GRNI review, AP debit note reserves advance to suppliers etc.

  • Preparation/Review of dedicated balance sheet account reconciliations

  • Account reconciliation process leadership (pacing unrecs, open items, reassignments, Autorecs)

  • Lead lean initiatives in terms of reduction in MJE , Manual payments, company codes, implementation of CORA, IC2.

  • Support during internal and external audits.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent knowledge or work experience

  • Significant experience of finance or accounting experience

  • Can demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work cross regions

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP project accounting

  • Ability work in a strongly multicultural environment with numerous locations and time zones

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience in SAP system especially in project accounting module would be beneficial

  • Capacity to build and simplify, being able to demonstrate past experience of streamlining processes would be a plus

  • Strong analytical and prioritization skills that enable to manage multiple priorities in a team environment with multiple functions involved in one process

  • Strong Influential leadership, having a track record of leading initiatives and building relationships in a global organization would be strongly beneficial
