Role Summary/Purpose
Lead MR Pulse Sequence/Applications Engineer is a key technical role within MR engineering team. MR Pulse Sequence/Applications Engineer works closely with Marketing, customers, internal/external researchers, and engineers to develop new MR clinical application.
Essential Responsibilities
Duties include (but are not limited to):
• Developing new pulse sequence/application features by working with Marketing, customers, internal/external researchers, and engineers
• Working with cross-functional groups in requirements gathering for new applications
• Pulse-Sequence Design, implementation, and feasibility testing in a clinical environment
• Statistical/quantitative analysis to improve software quality
Quality Specific Goals:
1. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
4. Support compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before completing Design Outputs/Program Deliverables
5. Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying and appropriately escalating process and product quality gaps, providing solutions when possible

Preferred Qualifications:
1. PhDs degree in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Physics or related discipline
2. Experience with GE Signa EPIC programming language
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
4. External focus. Understands the customer and market and is able to translate the opportunities into concrete actions

Qualifications:
1. Masters degree in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Physics or related discipline
2. 3 years relative work experience
3. Unix, software development skills in C
4. Experience in Object Oriented Design and Development, C++, and Java
5. Strong understanding of physics and modality imaging fundamentals
