Job Description Summary
You will help create the future of manufacturing with a team that is inventing the next generation of metal additive printers. As part of the supply chain organization, you will play a critical role in new product realization and developing robust machine assembly processes. This role develops and operationalizes the enterprise master data management across teams supporting Printers New Product Introduction (NPI).
Engineering associated with the manufacturing process. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results.
The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
· Work on "brilliant factories" and other IT driven manufacturing systems. Individuals in this area have IT expertise but are specialized primarily in Manufacturing.
· Includes direct people management responsibility including staffing and performance development. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.
· Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
· Connects enterprise master data management resources and data sets to ensure our enterprise master data management strategy supports operational efficiency and consistency in data integrity, quality, and governance.
· Coach, drive and lead process rigor and improvements by becoming the critical thread across the engineering, supply chain, sales, and the services teams on enterprise master data management.
· Leverage best practices from other global sites and participate in business process alignment efforts across global sites.
· Use enterprise system subject matter expertise (SME) to implement solutions, resolve problems, develop standard work, and train team members.
· Own technical project planning and execution and support local and global strategy initiatives.
· Work closely with Manufacturing Engineers and Technicians to understand the challenges of the shop floor and to validate the effectively of solutions you provide.
· Be a single point of contact across GE Additive Trade Center Drive (TCD) supply chain teams to create and govern common Master Data Management policies, processes, and procedures across manufacturing systems (Oracle, Windchill, Sharepoint) while maintaining awareness of such for non-manufacturing systems ( CAD, ServiceMax, and SFDC).
· Support NPI execution by enabling supply chain teams to create needed master data (PLM and ERP) aligned to the phase of development for the particular machine technology program.
· Identify and lead projects, end-to-end, that include operationalization of data management methods across the Additive data platforms to drive data integrity and operational efficiency.
· Partner with the Colibrium Additive Digital Technology (DT) team as needed to identify improvement areas of data quality and functionality which will improve operational processes and productivity. Work with the DT team to define and deploy the identified enhancements.
· Responsible for training and general support of business processes in Master Data Management for supply chain teams at TCD.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 4 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 7 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 9 years of professional experience
· Minimum 3 years of professional experience in ERP/PLM Data Management
· Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience
