Role Summary/Purpose

In the role of Lead Manufacturing Engineer - Press Operations, you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.

Essential Responsibilities

In addition, as the Lead Manufacturing Specialist, you will:

·  Support and meet production schedules, driving productivity, and quality initiatives all within budget boundaries

·  Plan and implement process development and improvement

·  Determine safe manufacturing processes that produce a quality product in the most efficient method possible

·  Assist supervisors and production employees in resolving manufacturing process problems

·  Identify the most cost-effective process to manufacture parts

·  Promote and build a positive working relationship with hourly team members
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)

·  Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering

·  Extensive knowledge of punch/form/sear die design

·  Extensive knowledge of the operational aspect of presses: Release agents and Safety mechanisms

·  Knowledge of expand and form dies and their operation

·  Knowledge of hot form presses and their operation

·  Knowledge of engine components, manufacturing, assembly, testing and quality methods, procedures, systems and requirements

·  Strong oral and written communication skills

·  Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

·  Ability to influence others and lead small teams

·  Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact

·  Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously

·  Effective problem identification and solution skills

·  Proven analytical and organizational ability
