Job Description Summary
At Avio Aero, a GE Aerospace Business, we’ve been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years. We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.As a Lead Manufacturing Engineer, you will take ownership of several manufacturing processes applied to Legacy & NPI programs within the Value Stream ME team. You will also support the transformation activities (Hoshin Kanri) and definition of the cells within the Value Stream, pursuing opportunities for improvements thru process simplification and automation.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Design, Develop and improve manufacturing processes for both NPI & Legacy products
Define process changes, fixture improvements, tools selection, machinery selection
Ensure that target metrics are achieved for the process he/she owns i.e. OTD, FTY, product cost, lead time, OEE
Develop and implement process improvements to reduce costs and cycle times
Bring new ideas and positive support to current process improvement
Implement productivity actions in order to improve the process and meet targets
Create manufacturing instructions, assuring that customer requirements are flowed down to the process and manufacturing best practices are properly documented, in order to provide an accurate technical/historical database for future reference and to meet customer/end user requirements
Manage Process Substantiation and FAI activities
Qualifications/Requirements
Master's degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering.
Desired experience in manufacturing
Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes and provide efficient solutions
Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications
Fluency in Italian and English
Work Visa in accordance with local regulation is required
Desired Characteristics

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to handle diverse activities simultaneously
Ability to work in a matrix organization.
Experience on Lean Manufacturing is preferred
Six Sigma training is preferred
