Job Description Summary

The Continuous Improvement Program Specialist will be responsible of leading process mapping and redesign initiatives as well as partnering with DT.
He/She will keep the Business Performance standards as well as tracking and reporting out the Metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) of the Aero JV.
In this role the candidate will drive the Aero Alliance lean cultural brand across the business to achieve EHS, Quality & business objectives
Identify opportunities to eliminate waste and non-value-added activities.
Use best practice lean tools such as, but not limited to VSM, 5S, problem solving techniques, to help drive operations efficiency.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Partner with JV Functions in mapping current process and leading redesign initiatives to streamline, simplify and standardize processes ( e.g. policies alignment, process development and integration, simplifications for effectiveness, process digitization and automation)
  • Jointly with DT, assess tools portfolio enhancement and gaps to provide contemporary and smart solutions to users to improve productivity, execution result and reliability, data availability and process adherence  
  • Be responsible of keeping Standards, Metrics and KPI’s relevant to the Aero JV scope of work and business activities up-to-date; ensure timeliness, accuracy and shared/acknowledged by the Aero JV’s Organization and Functional Leaders
  • Maintain/refresh the KPI’s within the Aero JV framework, systems, data validation, process mapping and functional ownership across the Aero JV sites / shops, as needed
  • Lead the KPI’s measurement process and analysis to drive periodic operational reviews rhythm with Top Management.
  • Lead process and tool training material preparation and knowledge sharing initiative. Provide the necessary training around KPI’s, priorities and relevant items for the Company within the Aero JV organization
  • Lead Lean activities and workshops including Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen Blitz, 5S, problem solving workshop
  • Facilitate or support continuous improvement activities (SPL, Kaizen, A3, PSR)
  • Apply Change Management principles to deliver project goals, build system and process competency, and integrate multiple changes at one time.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Engineering, Business or related field of study from an accredited College or University or High school plus 6 years of experience in Lean, Strategic planning, Fulfillment, or Shop Operations
  • 2-4 years experience in Lean and/or Project/Program management, Lean, Strategic planning, Fulfillment or Shop Operations or DT program management
  • Analytics skills and data driven mindset such as competence in KPI’s and bowler creation and maintenance, process mapping and redesign, VSM)
  • Ability to use Lean / Six Sigma tools and techniques to drive change

  • Self-directed with demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Displays good interpersonal skills, and able to communicate well with internal and external customers
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent quality certification
  • Communicates the business vision effectively in an open and consistent manner
  • Measures processes and performance through the customer's eyes
