As part GE Aerospace Engineering, the Lead Engineer – Composites Design will be responsible for the mechanical design, manufacture, and delivery of composite hardware used in the development testing of the next generation of narrow body jet engines. You will be required to push the boundaries of what is possible with the latest technologies and materials developed at GE Aerospace. This role is a part of the Structures & Boosters team.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
· Execute the design and analysis of assigned composite components using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and program requirements
· Provide technical guidance that influences outcomes to other people supporting moderate complexity tasks
· Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned hardware consistent with engineering policies and procedures
· Develop action plans, with guidance, to respond to issues/ problems
· Recommend, with guidance, the approach to meet the technical and program requirements
· Participate as a presenter in technical and program reviews with internal and external customers
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
· At least 3 additional years of experience in a Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering position.
· Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening
