The Lead Corporate Development Specialist will have day-to-day responsibility for M&A activities (relating to acquisitions, divestitures, equity investments and joint ventures) and other strategic projects. In this role, you will play a key part in the continued inorganic growth of GE Aerospace.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

·  Work closely with other team members to support a wide range of strategic initiatives including acquisitions, equity investments, joint ventures, and divestitures
·  Assist other team members with day-to-day project leadership, including management of business valuation, due diligence activities, and internal communication
·  Work with the project teams on the target valuation process, including analysis of the forecast, cash flows, balance sheet, and synergies
·  Provide support for deal processes, including deal structuring, contract negotiation, and overall communication with internal and external parties
·  Support development of the overall business growth strategy, including market analysis and target identification
·  Develop a thorough understanding and analysis of core markets and adjacent segments

Required Qualifications

·  Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
·  Minimum of 2 years experience in finance or completion of a GE leadership program (e.g. FMP), with experience in performing financial modeling, valuations or due diligence
·  Broad and comprehensive understanding of concepts and principles within the financial analysis and valuation discipline
·  Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time

Desired Characteristics

·  Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics is preferred
·  Minimum of 2 years experience in M&A, investment banking, private equity, or strategy management consulting, with experience in performing financial modeling, valuations or due diligence
·  Strong oral and written communication skills
·  Ability to work in a cross-functional environment
·  Strong financial acumen
·  Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
·  Track record of results when handling multiple projects with competing priorities
