Role Summary/Purpose
The Lead Advanced Manufacturing Engineer will serve as a product and process technical expert supporting the Dayton Cores and Castings facility, which is an integrated Cores and Casting development center tasked with accelerating the delivery of complex airfoil designs through innovative manufacturing.
Essential Responsibilities
In addition, as the Lead Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, you will:
· Define and control production processes including tooling and equipment
· Design and implement production tools and equipment
· Validate design specifications and shop floor applications of new product, tools, or equipment
· Execute routine analysis using vested methods and technologies and/or contribute to technological developments in teams under supervision
· Execute complex analysis of parts and manufacturing processes
· Next Gen Blade Core Product and Process expert
Qualifications/Requirements
· Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
· Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT(S):
· This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment
Desired Characteristics
· Bachelors in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or Material Science from an accredited university or college
· Previous work experience in the Aerospace industry
· 3D Modeling experience
· Knowledge of investment casting
· Knowledge of ceramics
· Statistical Analysis capability
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
· Ability to influence others and lead small teams
· Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
· Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
· Effective problem identification and solution skills
· Proven analytical and organizational abilit
