Role Summary/Purpose
As the Accounting Team Leader you will have responsibility for teams by establishing priorities, deliverables and scope of work. Oversee reporting processes, review, and approve accounting entries, and develop procedural manuals to ensure compliance.
Essential Responsibilities
Lead and supervise a small accounting team by establishing priorities, deliverables, and scope of work. Ensure compliance with local accounting regulations and US GAAP Oversee Consolidation and Closing Process Lead the monthly/quarterly reporting process to Corporate GE HQ and various GE business units Review and approve account reconciliations Organize and plan audit schedules Review policy and procedure manuals for accounting department and update as necessary Drive quarterly rigor on financial to filings approach (track stat audit status, quarterly consolidation of financials including taking care of various cost allocations methodologies by Corporate, interdivisional transactions etc.)

Desired Characteristics
Certified Public Accountant or Masters of Business Administration (MBA) is preferred Demonstrated financial analysis skills Demonstrated leadership ability and or experience Demonstrated customer orientation mindset Experience in solving complex problems Experience with driving process improvements Ability to deal effectively with changing priorities in a diverse organization Self-starter/team player Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) Lean Six Sigma certified GE culture/operating rhythm experience

Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college in accounting or finance (or a high school diploma/GED or equivalent with at least 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role) Minimum 2 years work experience in accounting or finance position
