As Junior R&D Mechanical Engineer, you will be involved in design, customization and homologation of high circuit breaker insulated in gas and air insulated compact switchgear , with main focus (but not limited) to the design and validation mecahnical parts of the disconnectors (support frame and all mechnical kinematic chain etc), homologation according to technical specifications, support R&D project manager in the daily management of technical activitiesJob Description
As Junior R&D Mechanical Engineer, you will be involved in design, customization and homologation of high circuit breaker insulated in gas and air insulated compact switchgear , with main focus (but not limited) to the design and validation mecahnical parts of the disconnectors (support frame and all mechnical kinematic chain etc), homologation according to technical specifications, support R&D project manager in the daily management of technical activities
In details you will be involved in :
- Support R&D project manager in the daily management of R&D activities
- Drawing issue (CAD and 3D output/models)
- Mechanical validation of various components (calculations and FEM analysis)
- Investigation in alternative material or different manufacturing technologies
- Redesign of on noncritical parts with competence center approval
- Product customization for framework orders
- Management, complete for italian customers, of the customer approval procedure
- Management of INAIL approvals for the entire GE group (any pressure equipment)
- Cost analysis and manufacturing optimization proposals
- Type tests withessing (in the internal accredited lab but also external worldwide lab)
- Test instructions and test procedure issue
- Support in the resolutions of Non conformity
- Risk and FMEA analysis etc
- Issue of technical document and type test dossier for internal or external use

Person Specification
Educational Requirements
Master Degree in Mechanical engineering
Experience and Knowledge
New graduate or with few years of Experience in the field of mechanical engineering or R&D dep
The following requirements are desired and will be used to differentiate all candidates who apply for this position.
- 2D and 3D CAD software
- Fem analysis (basic)
- Good knowledge of English
- Manufaturing and process technology knowledge
