Role Summary/Purpose

The GE Global Operations Junior Officer Leadership Program is a unique opportunity for top Junior Officer Military talent looking to jump start their careers in the industry. Qualified candidates are those who excelled in their Military careers and are looking for their next opportunity. Those accepted will be put into a 2 year rotational program, giving them a broad business experience and exposure to our business global shared services division.

Essential Responsibilities

The GE Shared Services is an operating model used by all GE Business units to organize and deliver internal support services more efficiently, to drive standardizing and to provide value to the business units in the form of simplified processes, reduced costs and increased service performance. The GE shared services that have JOLP opportunities available include:
Security

·  Manage the Business continuity tracking program for Global Operations North America
·  Write Standard Operating Procedures for 3rd party Guard force and help initiate process for new site.
·  Manage the Emergency Notification process for Global Operations North America.
·  Write emergency evacuation plan for the New Center, and manage drills and exercises.
·  Contribute to safety and security training, responsible for communications on a weekly basis via newsletter.
·  Serve as site investigator for safety and security issues, manage the Gensuite tool
·  Assist in facilities management

Customs
·  Support Customs Compliance activities and functions for Global Operations Customs
·  Lead initiatives and/or projects in support of GE's Customs Enterprise Standards
·  Work with Global Operations team members, business and other key stakeholders to improve Customs Compliance requirements
·  Participate in the development of Global Operations and business specific Customs processes related to import and export requirements

Sourcing
·  Driving a multi-million dollar opportunity in the Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) commodities
·  Lead and hold accountable an external firm in development in a global database of equipment
·  Coordinate commodity strategy across all GE businesses, to include integrated negotiations to strategically align contract expirations
·  Manage both equipment lease/purchase coordination, as well as service requirements
·  Develop strategy to manage strategic disposition of equipment
·  Lead additional opportunities across MRO commodities as required

Sourcing Strategic Leader (with GE Aviation)
·  Lead and facilitate LEAP execution with Fabrication Buy and CA team
·  Own execution for 2nd source delivery. Target is 90% on-time substantiations to commit.
·  Manage risk with LEAP parts exiting the incumbent source
·  Drive LEAP robustness with Supply Chain & Engineering on key parts
·  Accelerate LEAP cost to target – projects, NNS forgings, hard tool castings, LCC, negotiations, etc.
·  Drive on time delivery
·  Jump in and own LEAP/NPI issues as needed
·  Drive NPI best practices with team
·  Build network across sourcing to drive delivery for NNS Forgings and Casting Hard Tooling
·  Assure schedule alignment and supplier capacity as 2nd sources get substantiated and ramp occurs
·  Learn GE Aviation Procurement Process
·  Ownership of small buyer desk
·  Lead or get engaged in supplier negotiations
