The Staff Technical Project Manager Advanced Nuclear acts as the Digital Technology conduit for all Engineering applications and projects for the GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy. You will be the key coordinator working with the Engineering staff for communications, tool knowledge, and delivery. You will work with the Engineering manager to prioritize and distribute work. You will work in lock-step with application or domain leaders to create and deliver a clear strategic roadmap.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
As the Staff Technical Project Manager BWRX-300 your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Primary IT contact for Engineering applications currently including Atlassian Suite, Autodesk Vault and Engineering tools license server for several applications. There are opportunities to add more tools to responsibilities for operations and support.
- Manage and direct support team to prioritize high impact issues as needed.
- Monitor, evaluate and remediate Cyber concerns including but not limited to vulnerabilities and access reviews.
- Direct the support and project teams with a clear and descriptive set of requirements and deliver product features and functions by balancing customer need with business strategy, minimized defects, and technical debt
- Responsible for wing-to-wing execution of technical projects to deliver high quality outcomes to internal customers
- Partner with functional product owner to define fit/gap to common products, work with technical team internal and external to the initiative to ensure desired outcomes, on time delivery, within scope and budget and of desired quality
- Collaborate with business and functional partners and technology leadership in defining a needs backlog and specifying requirements across lifetime of the digital journey
- Demonstrate ability to influence stakeholders through credible knowledge and experience, persuasion and influencing skills
- Engage continuously with stakeholders to understand their business goals and motivating factors
- Work with cross-functional teams as needed
- Define execution plans and align approach based on project scope, expected timeline and available budget/resources
- Cooperate with and manage external vendors as required. Manage procurement and onboarding process
- Support execution team with resolution of roadblocks and interdependencies. Partner with technical and functional teams external to the project to ensure their tasks are completed as required
- Manage project risks, scope changes and other non-standard events for projects
- Manage stakeholder communication and progress reporting
- Ensure quality of deliverables is verified and matching stakeholder expectations
- Track project outcomes realization and customer satisfaction levels through established metrics against service level. Ensure lessons learned are collected
- Demonstrate substantial experience with the technology stack and its impact on the final product
Required Responsibilities:
- Bachelor’s Degree from accredited College or University
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Technical Project Management
Desired Characteristics:
- PMP or Agile certifications a plus
- Strong team player – collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources
- Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills
- Experience working with others on a global basis from a remote location
- Experience with 3D Modeling, Design, Simulation and other Engineering Client-Server applications
- Experience with Web Applications/Services
- Experience with Authentication Methods
- Proficiency administrating Applications in Windows and NIX environments
- Experience with Software License Management
- Knowledge querying Data Bases and generating reports
- Migration & Upgrade strategies for Software Systems
- Working knowledge of system integrations
- Safety oriented, willing to work hand in hand with engineers on building sustainable process improvements
