·  Work with Business Development and the Lead IP Specialist to advance qualified opportunities from concept to term sheet.

4) Standards, SEPs & Advocacy

·  Map portfolios to standards work items; pre‑screen for potential SEPs and assemble essentiality evidence packs with the IP Lead Engineer and counsel.
·  Prepare data‑backed talking points for trade associations and policy engagement.

5) Portfolio Analytics & Governance

·  Provide analytics for portfolio shaping (file/continue/abandon), pruning, and continuation strategies.
·  Support patent drafting, prosecution, opposition, invalidation, and infringement processes with internal stakeholders and external counsel worldwide; coordinate filing strategies across jurisdictions.
·  Track competitor IP; generate actionable insights for technology roadmaps and product strategies.
·  Contribute to IP valuation, licensing structures (field‑of‑use, territory, royalty), and partnership deals aligned to GSI programs.
·  Collaborate globally across time zones; facilitate workshops, invention disclosures, and IP training for engineering teams.

What You Bring

·  Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Power Electronics, Physics, or equivalent and preferably understanding of HVDC and FACTS products and technology.
·  Experience as IP Engineer or Analyst and a good understanding of patent law, how to read, understand, search for, and identify relevant patents.
·  Proficiency with patent/intel tools (IPO/WIPO, Derwent, Questel, Patsnap, Espacenet, Google Patents), and BI/analytics (e.g., Excel/Power BI; basics of SQL/Python are a plus).
·  Knowledge and structured learning around novel tools for IP (ie AI) would be a plus.
