Role Summary/Purpose

You will demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role, you will also utilize your experience and expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
Essential Responsibilities

As the Intern / Co-op, you will: 

Manage large projects involving equipment development and installation
Develop and maintain manufacturing methods and create process routings
Design and build / procure necessary tooling and finishing within budgets
Support equipment upgrades from purchase through installation
Conduct cost / benefit analysis for changes to processes and/or equipment
Support Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) projects
Drive Process Improvement / Cycle Reduction initiatives and drive productivity improvements via process changes or improvements
Ensure processes contribute to a safe work environment
Identify and reduce sources of labor efficiency variations
Identify and reduce product quality issues caused by process variation
Support the quality function through integration of International Organization for Standardization (ISO) / Quality Control (QC) documentation and Manufacturing methods Instructions
Lead high impact process and quality improvement projects yielding significant reduction in defects and increased productivity
Lead New Technology Initiatives (NTI) and share best practices with other locations
Utilize Lean Six Sigma manufacturing principles and participate in action workouts to improve process capability, reduce overall costs and increase capacity
Develop budgets to support yearly planning processes
Qualifications/Requirements

Enrolled in Bachelor’s Degree program from an accredited university or college

Ability to lead projects utilizing project management skills
