Role Summary/Purpose

• Ensure a coordinate approach in all areas between Tendering Activities and Engineering as well as Construction.
• Participate and support tender activities and projects where erection commissioning technology knowledge is required.
• Ensure interface approach in all areas between Construction Activities ( both Erection & Commissioning) and Engineering.
• Maintain the commissioning technology and support the commissioning of the specified systems
Essential Responsibilities

Tendering Support:
• Analysis of tender documentation for Construction activities: identify specific requirements, possible deviations and risks. Clarification of scope of Erection and Commissioning activities, review of his technical part of the contract.
• Participation in preparation of DOW with Partners for Construction activities, also In the technical tender and constructability reviews
• Consolidation and verification of quantities to be erected from various engineering teams (WSC, BOP, Electrical, Civil,, C&I, Boiler, ST, etc.)
• Collect experience feedback (as built), update a reliable data base to be used for tender calculations.
• Support to construction department during subcontract enquiries and negotiation
• Create PCDB (Project Costing Database) budget inputs for the construction engineering services
• Provide the man hour budget for tendering.
• Represent the assigned scope at meetings with the customer if required
Erection Support
• Compilation of Technical Documentation for Subcontracting:
• Co-ordination of all project-involved parties in regards to BOQ and erection specifications. Verification of BOQ for Erection subcontracts.
• Support to construction department during subcontract enquiries and technical clarifications
• Ensure MTA implementation in the project.
• Prepare technical files (Construction Packages) containing BOQs and erection specifications., Standard Erection Procedures, Erection Inspection and Test Program / Plan (ITP/ITPL’s), specific election test procedure, Pressure test procedure,
• Expedite & release of erection & commissioning documentation with co-ordination with engineering team as per the site execution schedule
• Analysis of erection & commissioning documentation (vendor doc) for construction activities: identify specific requirements, possible deviations and risks
• Provide support to engineering & procurement department during negotiations & engineering stage for all construction packages with vendors
• Participate in design and/or technical reviews/ design freeze (internal/external) and ensure that corrective actions defined by the reviews are closed on time.
• Provide technical resolution to all technical queries related to erection / commissioning / material discrepancies to the STO with coordination with engineering team & equipment vendor and also other function if required.
• Keep a diary to record daily work, meeting summary and actions, occurrences, problems, and a list of open items i.e. T.Q, NCR, FDC, work request, material purchase request, punch point, material damage report- Site specific
• Support in claim negotiations and preparation of relevant documentation and facts;
Commissioning Support:
• Participation in detailed scheduling for Commissioning.
• Preparation and follow-up of Commissioning Document list in line with the Project Milestones and Schedule (MTS,STS)
• Follow-up of, verification of and support for the commissioning documentation prepared by Partners and Participants.
• Preparation of commissioning documentation like - standard commissioning procedure and test certificate, commissioning Procedures, Cleaning Procedure, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPL), System operating Instruction, Functional Test Procedures, in order to perform commissioning according to the specifications and engineering documents, taking into account the safety instructions, the environmental protection measures and the local regulations.
• Ensure that the standard commissioning documentation is kept up to date, where process improvements are continuously implemented according to the site experience response and technical development
Qualifications/Requirements

• Relevant experience in large Power plant projects of capacity 660 MW.
• At least 4-7 year experience in the Field of Engineering for major Power Plants in total with know-how of erection, commissioning activities and operation concepts
• 1 to 2 year experience as a Erection engineer for ESP /FGD plant.
• Ability to understand and interpret the engineering documents (P&ID, GA, EA, DL, piping isometric drawing, EFU list, etc.)
• Know-how of shipment tracking.
• Understanding of construction Time schedule
• Know-how of Engg & procurement process. Familiarity with overall power plant process and break-up (various equipment packages involved).

• Good understanding of erection sequences and methods in relation to sub-contracting.
• Course of studies appropriate to the technical field involved
• Specific Knowledge about the relevant international codes and standards ANSI, ASME, API, NFPA , HEI, PTC etc.;
