For Grid Solutions, Offshore HVDC represents a key differentiating technology and a central focus for the business, particularly in Europe where Transmission System Operators have very ambitious renewable energy targets. In that context and for Germany, Grid Solutions is partnering with TenneT, which plans to invest more than $30B by 2030 in deploying new HVDC converter stations to bring Offshore Wind energy into Germany and the Netherlands.

In this context, Grid Solutions is looking for a who will oversee the documentation management of a large, complex multi-year EPC project (contract value > $1B).

The HVDC Document Controller is part of team of Document Controllers to perform documentation tasks including document management, O&M manuals, quality management, process improvement and tools.

Major Responsibilities ​:

• Ensures the daily documentation workflows between the involved parties as needed by using the dedicated Document Management Systems (Windchill Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) System)

• Compiling information to produce Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Manuals, technical writing, and editing technical documents.

• Supports the engineering team for specific tasks, such as Master Document List (MDL) updates, progress reports, dedicated checks of issues.

• Knowledge of how the work of the document control team integrates with other project teams and contributes to the project

• Will work according the overall and project related document quality checklists, compliant to company and project quality procedures & accurate quality records

• EHS: Execute with zero accident and without damage to the environment

Qualification / Requirements:

  • This role requires experience in documentation handling and related software systems.

  • Significant and relevant experience in documentation management on large projects (volume of thousands of documents)

  • Completed studies in a technical field, general knowledge of engineering technical terms and understanding of engineering processes

  • Proficiency in the following software:Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel);CAD/AUTOCAD (basic level) ; Adobe Acrobat Professional or similar

  • Awareness of Visual Basic

  • MACRO creation / modification

  • Quality oriented, Structured and organized, attention to detail, time management skills.

  • Readiness for business travels: appr. 50%

  • Good communication skills, fluency in German and in English

  • Ability to grasp complex processes and structures.
