This is a dynamic and highly respected shop-based repair engineering role supporting manufacturing technology development, new product initiatives and critical execution engineering support, for all OEM and targeted OEM fleets of generators.
The Core Service ITR Engineering team is responsible for providing generator engineering support for all activities associated with routine maintenance, parts, repairs, and upgrades.
The Repair Technology Engineer (RTE), based in Bucharest, will expand the existing local repairs team, dedicated to enabling the Generator workshop to execute projects to a high quality. The role covers engineering support for tooling and process development, process qualification, process implementation and engineering documentation. Additionally, the RTE will provide daily production support to ongoing projects in the workshop.
This role will require you to collaborate with both Global Repair Engineering network and Core Service ITR region engineering teams. This is a great opportunity for an engineer to take their career to the next level.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Bucharest shop activities with Repair Instructions, Inspection & Test plans, Bills of Materials (BOM), supporting tooling design and provision, new process implementation and support for existing processes.
  • Develop expertise in generator component repair, processes, tooling, and testing.
  • Provide support to the development and improvement of existing generator maintenance, and repair processes and procedures.
  • Support Lean manufacturing through cost reduction, cycle reduction, and product quality enhancement projects.
  • Author or contribute to the development of Repair Instructions / work instructions / standards and design practices associated with this technology area. Highlight lessons learned and make repair practices / design standards changes or other appropriate changes in practices to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline or related subject from an accredited college or university, or equivalent proven relatable professional experience.
  • Fluent in Romanian Language
  • Has current Romanian work permit.
