Role Summary/Purpose
The GEA Newark Mfg Tech I will perform various production tasks such as: preform layup, tape cutting, tape winding, slurry making and CVD furnace operations.
Essential Responsibilities
In addition, as the GEA Newark Mfg Tech I, you will:
· Have knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
· Responsible for performing task such as:
· preform layup
· tape cutting
· tape winding
· slurry making
· and CVD / CVI furnace operations
· Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
· Responsible for set-up and operation of work space, production equipment and furnaces
· Records data on part travelers or in databases and spreadsheets
· Performs all work in a safe manner
Responsible for completing training requirements for one of the four productions teams:
· Tow Coating
· Layup / Cutting
· BO / MI
· or Slurry / Winding
Qualifications/Requirements
· High school diploma / GED
· One year experience working in a manufacturing environment or training certificate applicable to one of the four manufacturing areas
Desired Characteristics
· Experienced with entering data into a database
· Ability to work in a teaming environment
· Good verbal and written communication skills
