Role Summary/Purpose

The GE MBA Internship Program is a 10-12 week summer internship program designed for high potential full time MBA students between their first and second years. Interns are matched with a 10-12 week business assignment and project based on their experience and skill set combined with business needs. All projects are developed by our Senior Leadership Team and have significant strategic and/or operating importance to the business unit to which they are assigned.
Essential Responsibilities

MBA interns will work on a Senior Leadership Team sponsored business assignment, in addition to a horizontal project where the MBA interns will come together to work. A dedicated coach will be assigned to each intern, and they will receive various opportunities for exposure to senior leadership within GE.
During the internship, the student will:

·  Build knowledge of GE’s businesses, products and culture
·  Broaden cross functional perspective
·  Establish networks and sponsorship
·  Complete a business assignment
·  Complete 1 horizontal project as a collective MBA team
·  Receive frequent insights & feedback from stakeholders
·  Demonstrate ability to perform well and adapt in unfamiliar environments

Qualifications/Requirements

·  Must be a full-time, matriculated student, pursuing an MBA, at an accredited college/university for the entire internship with a minimum 3.0 GPA
·  Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience
·  Must be able to work full time (40 hour work week) during the summer
·  Exceptional hands-on approach with strong analytical and leadership skills
·  Results-oriented and have a strong desire to get involved with day-to-day operations of the company
·  Must be able to work independently as well as in a team
·  Willingness to travel during the internship and relocate in the future is required
·  Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
