Job Description Summary

Run in partnership with Coleg y Cymoedd, our Supply Chain Business Apprenticeship are a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established, global aviation company that prides itself on offering career opportunities for talented individuals. During your apprenticeship, you will complete an NVQ level 3 and 4 in Business and Management alongside Essential Skills. In addition to the NVQ, there is a potential for you to increase your studies at undertake an ILM qualification.

During the programme you will develop your Skills and understanding on the following processes -

New material purchasing policies & procedures.

USM material purchasing policies & procedures.

External vendor management

Plan update of Gate 2

Reviewing hold tickets

Liaising with materials teams

You will enjoy working with different areas and people, undertake volunteer activities where you can develop your soft skills and help advocate STEM in local schools.

Sourcing / Supply Chain 

 

At GE Aerospace, our Sourcing and Supply Chain teams are a critical part of inventing the future of flight. Dedicated to finding the supplies and tools for our manufacturing and business processes. These teams work with a variety of supplier partners researching the best rates and negotiating contracts to support every step in our supply chain process.

Our Supply Chain Business Apprenticeship is a scheme that requires excellent communication skills - both written and oral, a high degree of IT literacy, planning and organisational skills and a proactive approach with a strong, results focus. 

 

Essential requirements 

 

To apply, you must have, or expect to achieve, a minimum of 5 x GCSEs, A* - C or 9 - 4, to include Mathematics and English Language. 

 

Desired 

 

  • A* - B or 9 - 6 in GCSE English Language and Mathematics.   

  • A* - C or 9 - 4 in GCSE Business Studies or ICT.

Qualifications 

 

Upon completion of our Supply Chain Business Apprenticeship, you’ll receive your work based NVQ Levels 3 and 4, and Essential Skills qualification.  There’s also the option to work towards an ILM (The Institute of leadership and management) qualification.

As part of our recruitment process, you will be required to submit an initial CV application.
