Job Description Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic, driven, and collaborative student to join our Grid Automation business Finance team for a 4–8 month work term.

Reporting to the North America (“NAM”) Region Finance Manager for Grid Automation this role will be responsible for developing automated reporting tool to support NAM region operations team to accurately forecast, measure performance, and drive improvements. This opportunity is based at our office located in Markham, Ontario, the successful candidate will be expected to work onsite Monday to Thursday.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

·  Support financial forecasting, reporting, tracking, analysis of sales and costs
·  Develop automated weekly dashboard to show key operational metrics such as product shipment, backlog to go, project billing plan, resource utilization.  And long-range forecasts and assumptions used in prior pacing.
·  Support quarter end closing processes related to accruals, eliminations, daily pacing of ledger to provide timely updates to Grid Automation for NAM expected results.
·  Complete ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications/Requirements:

·  Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Finance, accounting, mathematics or engineering
·  Prior work experience in corporate environment

Desired Characteristics

·  Experienced in Tableau
·  Experienced in building automated dashboards
·  Ability to work with complex dataset and display analysis in an impactful way
·  Experience with SAP ERP systems
·  Demonstrated ability to work with minimum supervision.
·  Excellent analytical ability combined with strong communications skills to articulate operational drivers and their implications, results and actions to various stakeholders.

This opportunity is intended for current students who will be returning to in-class studies upon the completion of the work term.  It is not open to candidates who will have graduated prior to the start of this position.
