Essential Responsibilities
• Performs complicated operation involving dismantling, rewinding, repairing, reassembling, testing, etc., on large or more complicated AC and DC equipment such as motors, generators, turbine generator stators and fields, rotary converters, transformers, regulators, etc.
• May dismantle and make repairs to large commutators and collector rings
• May band and install core insulation on all type of rotating equipment
• Performs related duties as assigned
• Ability and willingness to travel to customer sites on short notice domestically and internationally
Required characteristics:
• Must have achieved a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• Meet a minimum of 1 of the following requirements: (1) Minimum of 3 years of experience performing testing / inspection and conducting repairs (re-wedge, rewind and high voltage bushing) of generators in excess of 80 Megawatts OR; (2) Minimum of 3 years of experience doing disassembly / reassembly work on large generators in either industrial or utility power plant OR; (3) Minimum of 3 years of experience with large scale electrical components or as an electrician OR; (4) Complete OSR Apprentice Program
Eligibility Requirements:
• Ability to pass drug test
• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
• Ability and willingness to travel on short notice to customer sites located domestically and internationally 100% of the time
• Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain unescorted access to a nuclear fueled facility
• Ability and willingness to work overtime and weekend shifts
Desired characteristics:
• Two-year technical or Trade School Degree
• Accomplished skills in their trade with experience on PG Equipment
• Basic Computer Skills
• Dual citizenship in Canada, the UK, or any country in the European Union
The pay for this position is $36.724. This position is also eligible for Night Shift Bonus. This posting is expected to close on 11/15/24.
