The Facility Leader is responsible for the safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation and development of the GE Aerospace Poland facilities, covering both the existing engineering site (office and small warehouse across multiple rented buildings) and the new production facility (brownfield project). Scope includes building infrastructure, utilities and technical systems, sustainability, rental and lease agreements, and infrastructure projects.

In this role, you will own facility operations end-to-end: managing the relationship with the landlord, leading the new production facility brownfield project, driving improvement projects in the existing engineering site, overseeing utilities and media, waste management, repairs and renovations, and ensuring robust EHS, Security, and overall compliance with regulations and internal requirements.
The Facility Leader will interface closely with Operations, Production, EHS, Security, IT, Supply Chain, Finance, Landlord and external suppliers. You will drive standardization and continuous improvement in facility management, ensuring measurable outcomes that support the site’s long-term vision and day-to-day operations.

This role may have direct reports and or manage purchased services employees.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Brownfield project – new production facility

· 
Lead the new production facility (brownfield) project , including requirements definition, planning, execution, schedule, and cost control.

· 
Collaborate with Production and Operations teams  to translate manufacturing and logistics needs into facility, utilities, layout, and infrastructure requirements.

· 
Coordinate design, fit-out and commissioning  of the production facility, including building systems, utilities, and production-support infrastructure, in alignment with internal standards and regulatory requirements.

· 
Manage external partners and contractors  involved in the project (landlord, design offices, general contractors, technical suppliers), ensuring quality, safety, and timely delivery.

Ongoing facility operations – engineering site and production facility

· 
Manage day-to-day facility operations and infrastructure  for the engineering site and, once operational, the production facility, ensuring availability and reliability of building systems and services that enable safe and stable production and office operations.

· 
Coordinate and maintain the relationship with the building owner / landlord , including services, lease terms, and escalation of building-related issues for all rented buildings on site.

· 
Oversee media and utilities  (e.g., power, gas, water, compressed air, HVAC and other building systems), including monitoring usage, availability, capacity planning, and coordination with external providers.

· 
Plan and coordinate facility repairs, maintenance activities, and renovations/modernizations  in collaboration with the Landlord, Operations, EHS, Security, IT, and external contractors. Ensure that works are planned, communicated, and executed with minimal disruption to production and engineering teams and with full adherence to safety and compliance requirements.

· 
Coordinate IT infrastructure requirements and projects  (e.g., server rooms, network rooms, cabling, physical infrastructure readiness) with the IT department.

EHS, Security, compliance and sustainability

· 
Be responsible for overall site EHS/BHP in the area of facilities and infrastructure.  Drive and support EHS/BHP requirements related to employees, buildings, offices, warehouse and production infrastructure.

· 
Ensure that facility operations comply with legal, regulatory, and company standards  for health, safety, fire protection, environment, and security. Maintain readiness of evacuation systems and procedures, including fire alarms, emergency routes, signage, assembly points, and periodic drills.

· 
Support physical Security services and systems  (e.g., guards, access control, CCTV, monitoring) and ensure alignment with GE Aerospace Security standards and policies through close collaboration with the GE Security team.

· 
Lead waste operations on site , ensuring proper segregation, storage, documentation, and removal of waste in line with environmental regulations and company standards. Partner with EHS and Operations to reduce waste, improve recycling, and support sustainability initiatives and targets.

Continuous improvement and lean

· 
Identify and drive lean and continuous improvement initiatives  focused on safety, quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability in facility management.

· 
Use data, metrics, and stakeholder feedback  to prioritize actions, monitor impact, and continuously improve processes, procedures, and standard work related to facilities and infrastructure.

Required Qualifications

· 
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Operations, or a related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent professional experience.

· 
Strong experience in facility management in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

· 
Demonstrated experience in managing new greenfield and/or brownfield facility projects.

· 
Experience as people leader and/or managing indirect cross-functional teams.

· 
Working proficiency in both English and Polish.
