Essential Responsibilities:
- Monitor and ensure proper stocking levels of MRO and production inventories to mitigate any supply disruptions
- Evaluate historical demands to facilitate planning and procurement of materials for various commodities
- Provide internal customer needs in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborate with suppliers and contractors in support of optimized maintenance work activities
- Collaborate with Sourcing to create favorable contract terms
- Participate in continuous improvement programs (Kaizen, Lean, Safety)
- Monitor MRO inventories and ensure that stock levels are balanced between cost and inventory on hand
- Responsible for onboarding of new suppliers, annual contracts, receiving and invoice issues as it relates to our suppliers
- Provide Maintenance with work packages for planned work in advance and provide scheduled work lists to operations of others to support prep work
- Provide support to plan and schedule maintenance work in conjunction with MRO operations to support improvements at site
- Execute cost-focused strategy for Indirect spend area and administer indirect budget spend monthly
- Provide direction and guidance on indirect crib inventories, vendor managed inventory and storage plans
- Assist in creating, developing, and maintaining the accuracy of site enterprise system (Maximo) equipment data base for all planned and unplanned work
- Build supplier relationships to deliver significant value for site
- Responsible for defining and leading the strategies for sourcing, negotiation, administration, implementation, and management of MRO (Maintenance Repair and Operations) commodities while delivering cost savings and efficiency
- Contribute in the development of new processes and procedures and driving continuous improvement
- Process purchase orders
- Maximo purchase order processing; write, prioritize, coordinate, execute, maintain, close
- Process purchasing requests for materials and supplies for Maximo work orders
- Track, coordinate, and expedite time sensitive parts arrival with suppliers and maintenance personnel
- Track specialty torque tooling with domestic and international suppliers
- Monitor, maintain, re-order inventory levels
- Lead and coordinate support services
- Release preventative maintenance plans
- Write/enter work job descriptions / job plans as necessary
- Maintain all OSHA required paperwork
- Communicates with vendors for equipment repair seeking low cost alternatives as necessary
- Coordinate and intercept urgent part arrivals and delivery of all incoming parts
- Maintain the inventory of centralized materials and supplies that support maintenance team
- Process and coordinate contractual services to support site Maximo work orders
- Oversee various day-to-day operations of re-stocking and distribution of maintenance materials
- Coordinate vehicle and equipment repairs
- Ability to establish/maintain effective working relationships with suppliers, supervisors, and technicians
- Expedite contracted service repairs
- Drive company truck to make pick-ups as required
- Maintain records for all outstanding equipment repairs at vendor locations
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Associate Degree in related field OR High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) with 2 years of experience in purchasing/sourcing/ MRO related field
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams and purchasing and maintenance information systems
- Willing and able to work early-in, late, and/or overtime including weekends on short notice
- Willing and able to work any shift including split shift and across shifts
- Must be able to lift and carry at least 33 lbs and push and pull at least 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time up to 95% of the shift with or without reasonable accommodation
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Must pass background and drug screens
- Valid Driver’s License
Desired Characteristics:
- Associate degree or 2-year certificate
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing sourcing and MRO.
- 2 years of experience in MRO, purchasing, or planning in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated process improvement leadership
- Knowledge of purchasing and maintenance information systems
- Strong project management skills; ability to plan, lead, organize, and control multiple priorities
- Self-starter, high energy team player with a desire for continuous improvement
- Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization as well as outside of the company
- Effective problem identification and solution skills
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to learn computer systems quickly
- Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational skills
- Proven experience and willingness to be self-directed and identify improvement processes
- Ability and willingness to work effectively with others in a team setting and across functional teams
- Customer service oriented; responsive to needs of internal/external customers
