Role Summary/Purpose

At the Product Training Center we help people to develop the skills and knowledge that they need to optimize the value they get from their gas engines. How do we do it? We make the complex simple. Our modular courses and training programs help people all around the world to develop and maintain the skills that they need whether they are learning about our engines for the first time, or are experienced technicians who needs to stay up-to-date with the latest technology changes.
Essential Responsibilities

To make sure that people get the maximum benefit from our courses we use a variety of different modern blended training methods. This includes our library of eTrainings which we are continually growing, translating and updating. We are therefore looking for an intern to work in our international, dynamic team, who can come and support us updating this library of eTrainings for a period of 6 months, starting in September 2017.

·  To work with engineering and other internal departments to conduct eTraining technical reviews and to update where necessary using the authoring tool Lectora.

·  To proactively propose and implement eTraining improvements focused on improving learning transfer and clarity.

·  To manage the translation process of eTrainings into 6 different languages.

·  To update eTraining design according to current GE’s brand guidelines

·  To test and troubleshoot eTrainings

·  To support the roll out of eTrainings using our Learning Management System

·  To support in the development of new eTrainings and other Training Center projects as required
Qualifications/Requirements

·  You are currently studying or have recently finished your Bachelor or Master’s degree in Management, Communication, IT or the Educational Sciences

·  You are a proactive self-starter who enjoys creating and completing projects in structured way (e.g. website programming, audio or video creation, infographics)

·  You are passionate about technology, design, business and creating user experiences

·  You are an engaged and reliable team player with a strong customer mindset

·  You are a strong communicator that likes to work in an international business environment

·  Strong IT knowledge (MS Office, web design; eLearning authoring tools desired)

·  Strong German and English language skills

·  Work location is Jenbach, Austria

·  A valid work permit for Austria is a prerequisite for this position (Non-EU citizens: please attach the work permit to the application) According to Austrian law job postings need to include the minimum salary for a position. For this position the minimum salary based on the collective agreement is EURO 1917.18 gross monthly. The effective salary is based on the candidate’s Qualification and Experience and will be negotiated accordingly.
