Job Description Summary
The Equipment Quality Lead will be accountable for developing and delivering Equipment Life cycle Master quality plans and quality deliverables in line with Contractual requirements.The Equipment Quality Lead will report directly to the Senior Project Quality Leader and have strong interface with Procurement and logistics team internally and externally to client MITP Leader.
The Equipment quality lead will be responsible for all equipment quality deliverables, inclusive of ITP, Notice of Inspection, and GE witness inspection program, Product NCR and CoPQ/COR processes.
As a Quality Leader you will require strong influencing and communication skills to align and enforce the project on GE Vernova ‘ Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost’ priority and encourage the ‘Step up, Step in and Step together’ culture and behaviours for both Safety and Quality.
Job Description
Main Responsibilities.
- Production in line with Vernova quality management system and client contractual quality requirements, Master inspection plan and deliverables.
- Development of transactional process between internal and external clients (Project site, Supply chain, Consortium and end client)
- Training and development of Project team where required on MITP and Equipment Quality deliverables.
- Review and approval of ITPs from quality perspective (not technical content)
- Quality reporting, inclusive of say do and OTD of the equipment quality plan and deliverables
- Non conformance management, inclusive of RCA, CAPA, 8D, for Equipment Non Conformance
- COPQ and CoR reporting and RCA.
- Leadership of Witness inspection program with third party inspection
- Launch of Notice of inspection with client in line with client requirements.
- Development and delivery of Manufacturing record books in line with equipment phasing, Design, procurement, manufacture, Delivery storage, commissioning etc.
- Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems that impact the function. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions
Skills, Experience, Qualifications.
- In depth experience of Supplier quality, Equipment quality, ITP or manufacturing quality or similar.
- Exceptional knowledge and experience of ISO9001:2015 & ISO21500:2012, should be lead auditor for ISO9001:2015.
- RCA, CAPA, 8D methods.
- ITP and MITP, special processes, knowledge experience essential.
- APQP, PPAP experience would be advantageous
Essential Experience:
- Exceptional skills IT tool usage, Microsoft office, document control systems, non-conformance management systems, SAP, BIM, Completion management or similar.
- Risk processes (FMEA style methods)
- Some travel will be incurred especially during equipment manufacture and delivery phase estimated at around 10% to 20% in UK.
- Some additional travel by exception may be required outside of UK.
- Degree in Engineering discipline or similar for the type of work or experience which equates to a similar level of competence.
